I'm Still Here lol from Quilting My Way

Sorry. Saturday I had nothing to show. Sunday (yesterday) was cleaning the house. We were getting ready to have a clean house to come home to. Can you believe I actually put my stuff away?! No worries,  I will pull them out when I get back.

Bowling was last night. What an awful night of bowling! We did get 2 games. My awful games were 138, 158, and 135. So much for a high average. I beat Patrick on the first one, then he kicked my butt.

Right after we headed down to Portland to send the night at the ...

Double The Fun - HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY from Quilting My Way

This morning I really didn't want to get up, but I did. Today is the day to honor those who have passed. That would be my dad, my great Uncle, and my great great grandfather, Among others.

We didn't have anything planned for today, so Patrick worked out in the yard and I beaded.

I was able to get another 4 rows done. It's coming along great. I'm getting closer to that last 100 rows.

I took a walk around the yard to see what we have out there.

We have some really pretty flowers out ...

Enjoying The Weather Today from Quilting My Way

Today I woke up coughing. So, I was up and ready to go. Played games till Patrick got up.

I got to work on the laundry again. Then I taught I would work on my beading. About that time mom called and while I was chatting with her, I saw the Rhodes in the front yard.

All the Rhodes are really full this year. I love the purple ones on the side of the house and will take a photo of that one later. It's just starting to bloom. This one is always one of the first ones in ...

Happy Birthday To ME from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and ready to go out for breakfast like I have done the last 2 years. This year, Starbuck only had a free drink or food for my Birthday. In the past it was both a drink and a sandwich. So, I decided to have breakfast at home.

We stopped and got my drink on the way to get some flowers outside of Mossyrock. I picked up Patrick's drink and mine in the pouring rain. He was getting gas. They messed up my order, so I had to wait a little longer then usual.

We ...

My List Of Not Interested from Quilting My Way

This morning I woke with a headache. I started out with getting a coke and drinking coke all day to help kill the headache. It works for me. I usually don't drink coke unless we go out to eat.

So, here's my list -

Did I want to work on my beading? - No not interested.

Did I want to work on my quilt? - No not interested.

Did I want to play on the computer for a new beading pattern? - Nope, not interested.

Did I want to clean house? - Nope not even.

Did I want to go downstairs and sew ...

Working On Another Box from Quilting My Way

This morning I was playing a few games before getting moving.

When I did get moving, Patrick wanted to go for a walk to the golf course. I joined him. We chatted along the way. It was a nice walk. I've started to walk with him when I can. Yesterday he went walking while I was at moms.

I worked on my new computer after Patrick got it all set up for me. He's organized my files, and I like it. I didn't like have duplicate stuff. This way all my documents are on a file on ...

Things Are Looking UP from Quilting My Way

Before I start blogging, I wanted to thank everyone who sent their best wishes and prayers. Patrick is doing great. He's been walking around the hospital. The nurses and doctors are amazed at how he's been feeling and looking. I talked to him twice today.

The morning started out with texts. I got up and played a few games before sitting down for beading. I didn't get far with my phone going off - been doing that yesterday and today. No peace when it comes to the phone.

I wasn't really in the mood to do that ...

First Operation Done from Quilting My Way

This morning we were out the door by 4:15 am. We all piled into the van and headed to UW Cancer Care Alliance. Patrick arrived at the hospital for his check in. We couldn't go in. Family and friends are not allowed due to Corona Virus. We all hugged him and wished him well. I walked him to the door and then turned back to the van.

Katt, Susan and I headed to breakfast. The plan was to stay in the area to make sure he was okay during and after surgery. We headed to the closest I-Hop ...

The Last Couple Days from Quilting My Way

The last 2 days have been busy and interesting. Saturday we spent the day with Katt and Susan. Katt arrived from Lewiston about 10 am. We drove down to Portland to pick up Susan who wore a "poop" blow up costume. We laughed and enjoyed the day. Playing games and not doing much other than that.

Yesterday we left at 6 am for Seattle. Patrick had appointments a Cancer Care Alliance that took all day long. He met his doctors and he was able to get his MRI and Covid test.

While he was in his appointments, we took a ...

Spending The Day With Mom And Nancy from Quilting My Way

Today I was up and out the door before mom was up. Stopped and got us some Chai tea at Starbucks.

Arrived around 9:45 am. Shortly after I arrived Nancy showed up too. We all worked on the block for Ethel. It's a 5" block that is appliqued.

I started with my block that has 8 leaves. I did the 4 leaves in the center of the peice. The other leaves goes on the outside of the "circle."

When we stopped to have lunch we saw a deer at the neighbors house. It thought it was so funny ...

MEMORIAL DAY from Quilting My Way

 Today is Memorial Day.

It was our BE meeting day. I arrived and found Bev sitting in her car. She arrived just before me. I opened up the Grange, and then we got set up. Sandy (II) came shortly after. We had a really good meeting. Missed the other, but they should be there next time.

I worked on cleaning up the back and then worked on the flowers at the top. I'm going to work on this and get it back to Cheryl. I want her to have something she worked on done.

We went out to check ...

Quilting And Date Night from Quilting My Way

This morning I got a few things together to go to moms. I dropped off fabric and tomatoes for Georgie. I actually called her but she was already gone for the day. Told her to go to moms for the fabric and tomatoes.

As I was leaving the house, I saw the flowers looking awesome!

I love the color! This plant is really growing. Patrick is doing an awesome job on the yard!

Arrived before everyone else. I put my stuff done in the chair where dad used to sit. Then Ann showed up and I was scooted out of ...

Enjoyed Time With Family from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and started beading. I couldn't play on the computer or tablet because it's Sunday and that's the agreement we had for one day a week off line.

I listened to my audio book and beaded. It was awesome.

I got another 3 1/2 rows done. I'm on 44/580. I'm in the middle of the row because we had to leave to go to moms. My brother and his wife are visiting till Thursday. We played games and I won one of the games. My sister-in-law Christine won the ...

Enjoying A Day With A Good Friend from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and getting ready for Sandy to come over. We had planned to do out beading again. She arrived and I gave her a lot of stuff I had for her, plus some chocolates from Escanaba.

We had a good chat and laughed a lot. It was so good to have her here.

We are making the Folded Twisted Diamond earring. Thank that is what it's called. We are doing the one that comes together at the top. This one goes in a shape of a "V" instead of a "Z" which I think will ...

Just Enjoying The Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and played for about an hour. Patrick left to go see his friends from work. They meet for coffee now that they are all retired. He said there were 4 of them today. When they first started out it was either 2 or 3 of them. Guess one more retired as well. The City of Chehalis is in trouble with all these guys retiring. Plus with the Corona-virus going on, they don't have the money to hire right now.

While he was gone, I enjoyed listening to my book and working on my beading ...

Shopping and Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning we were out the door by 9 am. We headed to moms to head up to Olympia.

After picking mom up, we headed to Olympia and went to our favorite appliance center. We picked up a washer and dryer. It was amazing how quick it was to pick and purchase. We'll get them on Tuesday. Headed over to Sharon's to pick up 2 quilts for Debbie and the backing material. She showed me her beading! I loved the ornament she was working on. I will need to get the pattern! It's really pretty.

Then we ...

After The Colonoscopy - Whoopy! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was off to Olympia for my colonoscopy. Lucky me. I really think the worst part of it all is the prep.

We arrived on time, had our masks on. Patrick stayed in the waiting room. I was called within 5 mins of getting there. They went over all my information. Then put me in bed. The bed I was in was the bed I came out of. They put my clothes and shoes under the bed. Well prepared. The doctor came and said "it's been a long time." I haven't been to see him in ...

A Day Of Beading - May Have Another Finish Soon from Quilting My Way

Today I was up early. The sun was driving me nuts. lol

I got working on laundry and then beading.

I got to 156/206. A lot farther than I figured I could get at. It's coming along great. I can't wait to get started on the gift project. I'm a little concerned though, because it's all "dull" colors. I also did a pattern of Sophie, and that one has better colors. I'm actually having fun making patterns. Don't know if I will ever make them all but it will be fun making the ...

Staying Home And Stitching from Quilting My Way

Today we slept in again. Might as well, there isn't any place to go - nor do we need to.

When I got moving, I sat and worked on my beading. Patrick went outside to work in the yard. He was climbing the tree later this afternoon when we went walking around the neighborhood.

Like he said, if the virus doesn't kill him, then the tree might! Not what I wanted to hear, but still true.

While he was working in the yard, I was beading and enjoying it. I talked to mom and Sharon to see how they ...

We Are Back Home from Quilting My Way

We got back home yesterday around 4:30 pm. We had a long drive, but it was smooth. We did run into snow a couple times, but the new car drove through it wonderfully. I really did enjoy our stay with Katt.

We had fun at Thanksgiving. This is Patrick, myself, and Katt. It was awesome to spend Thanksgiving with her.

This was our trip back yesterday at the Pass. This is White Pass, which had more snow yesterday than it had when we left on Tuesday.  I love going through White Pass.

We picked up Sophie at moms. It ...
